With over 30 players on loan at Chelsea, the EPL defending champions have given young England defender Alex Davey a contract extension. This follows after Brazilian midfielder Ramires was handed four-year contract extension last week.
This report was made known by Daily Star. which claims that the 20-year old defender reveals the news through his twitter account when he wrote:
“Happy to have signed another contract with @ChelseaFC, it’s been 10 years at the club now loved every minute of it.”
Davey started his football career with Chelsea at the age of ten at the youth level. Although yet to make any appearances for the Blues’ senior team, Davey has however play a key role in the Blues youth team. He was part of Chelsea’s U21 team that won the youth Premier League in 2014.
Before his season loan move to League One side Peterborough, the young England star had previously spent a season loan with Scunthorpe United, where he made 17 appearances for the Iron.
