Reports have it that Chelsea are lining up a surprise move for Tottenham left back Danny Rose.
According to Daily Mail, the Blues are set to make a bid of £15million for the England international star.
The 25-year old-left back was a key player at the White Hart Lane last season, helping them reach the Capital One Cup final which they lost to London rivals Chelsea and also qualifying for the Europa Cup.
Although it was reported last week that the Stamford Bridge outfit had reached an agreement of £17million for Augsburg left back Abdul Baba Rahman but it now seems the deal did not work out as planned.
Since the departure of Brazil international star Felipe Luiz, the Blues have been linked with numerous left backs such as Ghanaian international Abdul Baba Rahman and Galatasaray star Alex Telles.
Should this deal go through, Rose would be a good contender for the left back position haven gotten vast experience of the Premier League style of play and would also add to the number of home grown players at the club.
