Chelsea have officially announced the transfer of Egyptian winger Mahamed Salah on a season-long loan move to AS Roma.
This was made known by Chelsea’s official website that the 23-year old winger would spend next season with the Italian giants.
“The winger will spend the 2015/16 campaign on loan at the Stadio Olimpico and the agreement includes an option to purchase at any point during the season.” Via Chelsea official website
Salah moved to Chelsea in January 2014 from Swiss Super League Basel but was later loaned out to Fiorentina last winter transfer window where he scored 9 goals in 26 appearances for the Viola.
The Egypt international was expected to continue his season loan move to Fiorentina till the winter of 2016 but later opted out for a move to Roma this summer.
Roma expresses their delight for their new signing by saying Salah is “the best Egyptian player in the world right now”.
Salah who had started training with the Italian giants also expresses his own feelings by saying :
“I think everybody here has ambition and everybody wants to win the title. That would be good for us and very good for the fans. Everybody will do their best to make the fans happy,”
