Chelsea’s misfit Juan Cuadrado is set to completes his season-long loan move to Seria A champions Juventus after reports had confirmed that both Chelsea and Juventus had agree a deal for the 27-year old winger.
English media Daily Star claimed that the Old Lady chief executive Gieppe Marotta had confirmed that the Colombian international will under a medical for his imminent move to Italy today.
“There is the opportunity to sign Cuadrado and we’re going for it,”
“Hopefully tomorrow (today) we’ll close the deal, he should arrive on loan for one season. Said Marotta
Cuadrado moved to Chelsea in this year during winter transfer window but has failed to make any major impact in the team. He has only manage to make four league starts for the Blues. Although his days with Fiorentina was fruitful scoring 20 goals in 85 appearances.
However, with the arrival of Champions League winner Pedro Rodriguez, the former Fiorentina star has fallen further down the pecking order and he is now seen as surplus to requirement. The Blues are now ready to cut their losses on £26.1m flop after just six months of arrival.
Reports also claim that the EPL defending champions Chelsea could shock most football loving fans by using Cuadrado transfer as a bait to sign their French target Paul Pogba.
