Rumours making rounds claim newly promoted Premier League side Watford are keen on signing Chelsea youngster Nathan Ake on a season-long loan move this summer.
According to Sport Witness, the 20-year old Dutch international may be on his way out of Stamford Bridge to gain first team football and experience.
In the past years, Ake has been seen as a potential replacement for skipper John Terry but has since fallen down the pecking order since the emergence of French star Kurt Zouma. Mourinho seem to prefer the French defender as a formidable back-up to Terry and Cahill.
The Netherland U21 defender move to Chelsea youth academy in 2011 from Feyenoord and had since developed to become part of the Blues’ senior team. He made his first Premier Lague debut for the Blues in December 2012 replacing Juan Mata in a game against Norwich City.
In March this year, Chelsea loaned out the young starlet to Championship side Reading where he played with his fellow Chelsea boy Nathaniel Chalobah before returning to Chelsea for the end of the 2014/2015 season.
Should the transfer be completed, Ake would join the likes of Dominic Solanke, Isaiah Brown, Lewis Baker, Christian Atsu on loan to get more experience and first team playing time.
