In The Papers
Inter Milan’s Andrea Ranocchia is attracting the attentions of several Premier League clubs, with Chelsea leading the race for the defender
I found this in the Daily Express. Ranocchia is a good centre back and a strong leader but there are better options than him I feel
Bayer Leverkusen want Chelsea’s 22-year-old Belgian winger Kevin De Bruyne in January, according to the Germans’ director of sport Rudi Voller
I found this in the Metro. I think KDB will want a move if he doesn’t get his chances and another factor is he wants to go to the World Cup
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho claims striker Fernando Torres, 29, lacks skill and the killer instinct to score 25 goals in a season
I found this in the London Evening Standard. This has been taken out of context completely, he did a interview with a Portuguese paper and LES got hold of it and put this story up, Mourinho said that he doesn’t think Torres is a 25 goal striker but said he would be at least get 20 goals a season. The part about Torres lacking skill and the killer instinct is a load of rubbish this part has been made up.
Chelsea are closing in on Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin for £15million
I found this in the Daily Mail. Now I feel he is something we are missing in the centre of midfield, he is what Essien used to be an all round solid midfielder and can play any role.
Jose Mourinho bemoaned Chelsea’s lack of killer instinct and admitted he may have to revert to the cautious approach of old after seeing his side suffer an extra-time defeat in the Capital One Cup quarter-final at the Stadium of Light
I found this in the Daily Mail. We looked woeful, looking at the game and the way we attacked our formation does not really suit a off the shoudler striker, we either need Lukaku or a False 9 type player as this would suit us. We have Schurrle, Hazard or Matawho could play this False 9 method
The sale of Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore to Arsenal or Liverpool could facilitate the shock exit of Juan Mata from Chelsea in January, as PSG would have the funds for a swoop
I found this in the Daily Star.I hope Mata doesn’t leave I really don’t want him too he is too much loved by the fans and I don’t believe the Board or Mou would sell him as we would be annoyed
Chelsea will have to battle with AC Milan if they want to sign Swiss defender Ricardo Rodriguez, who Blues boss Jose Mourinho is believed to see as a long term replacement for England left back Ashley Cole
I found this in the Daily Mirror. I’ve seen a couple of games of him for Wolfsburg and he has been impressive and he is great at long range free kicks. I would still rather look at Luke Shaw however but that is personal preference
Jose Mourinho has given the biggest indication yet he will overhaul Chelsea’s swashbuckling style after they crashed out of the Capital One Cup in dramatic fashion.
I found this in the London Evening Standard. I see him bringing in new defenders and new midfield enforcer and sell Ba and look at Lewandowski but that’s my thinking
Chelsea and Manchester City face competition from Barcelona to land Villarreal’s Argentine centre-back Mateo Musacchio, 23
I found this in the Daily Express. He is a good defender and there is no surprise a lot of team are interested in him.
