Lukaku demands Premier League Football

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku says he would only accept a loan move away from Stamford Bridge if it were to another Premier League club. The 19-year-old is the subject of an approach from Fulham over such a deal, with a season-long switch abroad not an option for the youngster, who has insisted he ‘must play’ first-team football in 2012/13.

Lukaku moved to Stamford Bridge in 2011 and made 12 appearances without scoring in his debut campaign, but has been impressive in pre-season and has previously declared his desire to represent the club throughout his whole career.

“I did not sign for Chelsea to go into another championship,” the Belgium international warned his club while speaking to the media.

“What I learned last season was positive. Training with great players improves you. “Now I must play. In a few weeks we’ll see what happens.”

The Blues spent 18 million pounds to bring Lukaku to London from Anderlecht in 2011.

No doubt, Lukaku has alot of potential to establish himself as one of the best strikers in Europe but from what we saw in the Pre Season, he is a powerfull, strong striker but is not yet that polished and ready for that regular Chelsea’s CF Role.

A loan move would be perfect for the Belgian star, but it is very important he gets the right loan move where he can unleash his talent and prove to Di Matteo that he is ready enough for Chelsea. The most easy and best way he can do that is by getting a loan move to a Premier League Club. Lukaku is right and I think even Chelsea would want to loan him to a Premier League Club only.

As of now it seems, Stoke City, Fulham and West Ham might be interesting destinations for the 18 year old. I am pretty confident that he can join one of these PL teams and prove himself and get back to Chelsea ASAP.
