As January transfer window draws closer, rumours linking players to various clubs have started and latest of such is that linking Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto to Stamford Bridge.
This is according to the Metro which claims that Chelsea are making plans to lure in the highly rated midfielder to Stamford Bridge in January transfer window.
The 23-year old Spaniard has been on fine form for Luis Enrique’s team this season, scoring a goal and creating four assists.
The sensational midfielder is seen as a potential replacement for Oscar, should Chelsea decides to sell him to Serie A giant Juventus next winter transfer window.
The Spaniard is currently valued at 21.5million pounds which may not be too expensive for Roman Abramovich to sanction.
However, I personally don’t think Roberto would be a good replacement for Brazilian midfielder Oscar. We need player that possesses higher quality than Roberto, if Chelsea really wants to let go Oscar in January.
Proven Player such as Paul Pogba, Alex Teixeira, Thomas Muller and Isco should be Chelsea’s prime target, if Chelsea are to remain a club to reckon with both at home in England and across Europe.
