On-loan Lucas Piazon claims he relishing his stay at Vitesse, but may not be there next year.
Piazon told Brazillian sports website Lancenet: “I’m only 19 and have already played in three leagues, and that was good to me.
“The experience at Malaga and this one are important to make me mature, I don’t regret anything.”
Chelsea keep tabs on their loaned players, and Piazon added: “Chelsea have staff just to follow the loaned players, they always send emails telling me what I am doing right, wrong, what I have to improve.
“They send a summary about that, with my strengths and weaknesses, they are always following my progress.”
Piazon has been showing great form for Vitesse, scoring 11 goals in 18 appearances, but when quizzed on if he thinks he will return next year for another season on loan he replied “I don’t know yet, depends a lot on how we will end the season, it’s hard to say now but I think we have a good chance of finishing in the top two and playing the Champions League. But I’ll go on my vacations, rest then we’ll see.”
Real Sociedad star Antoine Griezmann admits he is unlikely to make a decision regarding his future until the end of the season.
Quite a few Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on Griezmann with Manchester United, Arsenal and Us all interested, He has been in blistering form for the La Liga side and bagged a Monday night hat-trick against Elche to take his tally to 15 this term. The 22 year old who has been Sociedad for 9 years said he is likely to discuss terms with his club in the summer
I am happy at Real Sociedad, I’m very relaxed about the situation,” Griezmann told reporters. “I want to finish the year here, and then we’ll see.
“The team is working well and it’s important we try and get back into European competition next season.”
Defender Branislav Ivanovic has praised new signing Mohamed Salah, saying that his style of play reminds him of Arjen Robben.
Ivanovic certainly is qualified to comment, having played Salah 4 times in past 2 season with the Egyptian scoring 3 goals, and speaking to The Independent he had this to say
“He was really good against us. He played very well. We know him because we played him four times in two years.
“He is a great player, very quick, and goes forward with the ball. These are the kind of players we need to improve our team.
“He has time, he is young and it is maybe good for him to step up.
“He reminds me of Robben, the way he plays going from the right wing but going inside left-footed. I hope he is going to be important for us.”
