Abramovich At It Again!! Lukaku To Complete SHOCK £50m Move To Stamford Bridge, Remy & Falcao To Be OUSTED
In what would seem as a shock move for fans of Chelsea football club, reports have emerged that the Blues are considering a move for former Goal Poacher Romelu Lukaku in January transfer window.
This report is according to ESPN FC, which claims that Chelsea are considering luring the star back to Stamford Bridge in the winter Transfer.
The 22-year old forward has been on sparkling form for Everton this season, having found the back of the net 17 times in 22 appearances. He currently has 14 goals in the EPL.
The Belgian left Chelsea for Everton in 2014 for a record fee of £28m. Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was highly criticized for not given Lukaku much playing time to prove himself and finally letting him out of Stanford Bridge.
But speaking to Paul Joyce of the Daily Express, Lukaku insisted that his move to Everton was his personal decision and not Mourinho’s decision.
“Choices have been made by me. By me. Not by them. Said Lukaku.
“Everyone says it is Mourinho’s fault, but it is not his fault because I made the decision. I went to his office to ask if I could go.
“He was the first one to say, ‘Good luck.’ When I signed the deal (at Everton) at 11 o’clock, I got a text message on my old BlackBerry.
“It said: ‘Good luck, do your best and I will see you next season.’
“He was the first, nobody knows that and that is why for me he gets immense respect.
“It is really sad he has to go.”
With the Toffees at the 11th position on the EPL table, coupled with the harsh treatment Lukaku received from Chelsea during his days with Blues, I doubt if the Belgian would want to make a return to Stamford Bridge anytime soon.
However, the Blues could be able to lure him back to Stamford Bridge just like Thibaut Courtois and Nemanja Matic, if they can only guarantee him first place spot in the starting line-up and also be ready to make massive offer to Everton.
Although the move might not be possible in January transfer, but Chelsea can secure his services at end of the season.
Lukaku is currently valued at £50m by the Toffees, according to Dailoy Star.
