Former Chelsea Goalkeeper Courtois Makes Sensational Claim

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has claimed that French giants PSG attempted to sign him whilst on the books of the Blues according to reliable source Ultra Suristic.

The 79 times capped Belgian international was on the books of the Blues between 2011 until the summer of 2018. After initially joining Chelsea as a 19-year-old, he was shipped out to Atletico Madrid to gain more first-team experience.

Following his successes with Atleti which included helping the club to reach the Champions League final and win the La Liga in 2014, he was brought back to Stamford Bridge. The Blues at the time had so much of faith in him that they instated him as their first-choice goalkeeper ahead of Petr Cech who is widely considered to have been one of the best keepers of the past generation.

Courtois was a prolific keeper at Chelsea

During his heyday with Chelsea, Courtois was regarded as one of the best keepers in the World if not the best. Courtois’s time at the Bridge was largely a success. He went on to make 154 appearances for the club in all competitions and won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and one League Cup.

His time at the club however did not end well after he forced through a transfer to Real Madrid which some fans did not take well. Courtois’s time at Madrid however has not been good to date. He has struggled to recapture the form which he displayed during his time with the Blues and at this stage, he may soon end up being demoted by Los Blancos if his form does not improve drastically soon.

Chelsea have since found a new first-choice keeper in Kepa Arrizabalaga. Kepa is not a finished product as yet but can blossom into one of the world’s best keepers in the future if he continues to work hard. He could have a bright future with the West London club.
