Big Blow: £75,000m Star Set To Exit Stamford Bridge After Spending 9-Years

Having completed the transfer of Adul Baba Rahman and Pedro Rodriguez in the last few days, Chelsea are now set to let go Nigerian international John Mikel Obi after spending nine quality years with the Blues in order to bring in more fresh leg into the current squad.

According to reports from The Metro, Turkish giants Besiktas are interested in the services of the 28-year old midfielder.

Mikel moved to Chelsea in 2006 from Lyn Oslo, during the first spell of Mourinho and had since helped the Blues to win many trophies such as English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield and UEFA Europa League Cup.

However, Since the return of Nemanja Matic from Benifica, Mikel playing time has been reduced with Mourinho even preferring Kurt Zouma  in the defensive midfield position in the absents of Matic.

The 28-year old defensive midfielder was only able to make 18 appearances for the Blues last season and on my opinion, I feel this is the right time for Chelsea to sell Mikel so as to give room for other stars to come in.
