BIG BLOW: Chelsea Winger Suffers INJURY Ahead Of Everton's Clash This Weekend
With the Premier League matches in sight after the interlull, the Blues are hit and decimated by a lone number following injury to Bertrand Traore, as per various reports in London.
The winger suffers a sudden hip injury ahead of his country, Burkina Faso’s African Cup of Nations qualifiers game against Botswana.
Speaking before the weekend match, Burkina Faso head coach Gernot Rohr was quoted by African football saying:
“Bertrand had to withdraw due to his hip injury”
“It is not very serious, but it is painful enough to prevent him from playing.”
The 20-year old star graduated to Chelsea senior team in 2013 but could not be enlisted to play the EPL games due to inability of the club to secure work permit for the winger.
The young starlet returned to Stamford Bridge this summer after a successful loan spell with Vitesse and was given the number 14 shirt.
Having gotten the work permit to play for Chelsea this summer, he was enlisted in the Blues squad list for both the Premier League and the prestigious UEFA Champions League along with summer signing Kennedy.
