BREAKING NEWS: 6FT 1 Tall Defender To Sign For Chelsea, Player Wants Deal As Soon As Possible
Chelsea team vice Captain Branislav Ivanovic has reiterated his interest on staying in west London, despite not yet being offered a contract extension.
The powerful defender has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer, when his contract expires.
Serie A giant Inter Milan are reportedly keen on his services, should the Blues decide not to offer the experienced defender a new contract at the end of the season.
Speaking to the press ahead of the Blues’ trip to Leicester City, Ivanovic claims he is happy with life at Chelssea and hopes the Blues extend his contract ahead of summer transfer.
“Honestly, I am so happy [here],” he said.
“I am trying to do my best. I know I didn’t start the season well, but I am back.
“I hope the result will be good for the team. In that case, I will be good as well. I hope and I think we will have time to speak about my future.”
Although the star may not be as fast as he use to be with age catching up with him, his wealth of experience would however be needed at trying times.
However, I would personally suggests Chelsea offers Ivanovic a new contract, but at the same time, sign a younger defender who will compete with him at the right back position since Jose Mourinho has almost converted Cesar Azpilicueta to a left back player.
