According to the reports in ESPN FC last night, Diego Costa is all set to join Chelsea this summer. The Atletico forward has reportedly told his teammates that he’ll be joining the Blues in the upcoming transfer window.
The Brazil born Spain striker has been on the radars of Jose Mourinho since the January transfer window but the move could not be completed as the Sporting Director of Atletico Madrid refused to negotiate. But, things have taken a U-turn now; the club and the player are both ready. Recent reports suggest that Chelsea have placed a bid for 32 Million Pounds which meet the buyout clause of Costa. Moreover to attract Costa, Chelsea have also offered him a a very heavy rise in his pay. His wages would be 150,000 pounds per week which is more than thrice his annual wages at Atletico.
In the previous week, Spanish press claimed that the deal worth 60 Million Euros has already been finalized and SkySports claimed that the signing would be made in June. Diego Simeone, in the past has already clarified that he wont be stopping his star striker from a potential move away from the club.
The major reason behind the fairy-tale success of Atletcio Madrid this season has been Costa’s unbelievable form and hunger for goals. He has scored 27 goals in the LaLiga in 34 games and in the Champions league has 8 to his name. He has shown no mercy to the opposition defenders in the final third. With Eto’o running out of contract; Ba and Lukaku’s future with the club being unclear, Costa looks to be a great signing. But expecting him to play with the same intensity and consistency in the EPL would be a little too much to ask for. To add to our worry, Costa has just been a one season wonder. He managed to score 10 goals in the LaLiga in 31 games in 2012-13 seasons.

I think he suits Jose’s style..he presses high up the pitch, can lead the line alone, strong and can hold up play for our midfielders to get between the defensive lines..but the mosy important thing..he is aggressive and hungry for goals which is vital in a striker..when teams will play against him..they will be intimidated by his powerful aggressive play..!
Chelsea’s issue is the middle and not forward cause we lack a natural CM with Vision and the WF, AM and DM are all selfish? They’ll rather shoot at goal than create anything for the strikers to tap inn! They need to play for the strikers to score! Diego Costa will not perform if they continue in their trend. Address that by acquiring the Services of a creative visionary CM to pair Matic just like Modric and Alonso, Xavi and Iniesta, Gerrard and Allen, Carrick and Fletcher, Ozil,Carzola and Wilshere.. Prosper CM to pair Matic is what we need for any striker to succed
Point well taken (and with luck addressed subsequently); however, Costa should be just what is needed up front. What Torres et al lacked was the ability to make incisive runs with clinical finishes. How many times have we watched ‘Nando and Ba trip over the ball and shank shots and (particularly for Torres) meander around the pitch? Costa has the size, speed, and willingness to get to the box and finish. Just look at the goal diagram above.
Dude you are a retard.This season Eden Hazard created the most chances in Europe including Messi and Ronaldo and your telling me our midfield is crap how many chances has Torres missed this season , if Suarez or Sturridge had hazard feeding them chances they would have scored 60 goals this season. But Eto’o,Ba and Torres scored in total 19 goals in the premier league even lukaku alone could have scored 20 goals with that amount of service by Hazard. This is why i am so happy that Diego Costa has signed and that Lukaku and Bamford will be the back up . Lukaku was amazing against sweden with the service hazard gave him!! Ak jamesolly spot on….. That’s the bitter truth…. Our MFs lacks the killer pass instinct….. They rather shoot wide than to pass to the striker…… We need not to buy the one to pair matic, oscar is there to do it thou am not the coach to say that…. Hazard @10……Schurlle @ right wing and either Lavezi or anyone the coach think is fit to play it…. Sure with this we will be champion in the league and also in europe… Costa will score goals also the MFs will also score goals……….
Ak you’re right but i think is the work of the coach to spot the flaws..secondly, a coache’s tactics can determine the number of goals strikers can score and Mou ain’t that type of coach that plays an expressive, attacking style..hopefully, he might change style next season

Costa is the missing link in this evolution. I think we need to sign him up before Its late. Life is full of risk so we need to take risk in signing him up. I don’t think Costa will be a failure for us. He will fit perfectly in our style of play. Hope to see this officially.
Costa might do well. Yu can never tell. I wld have preferred a play maker striker that can put ball on the ground and play comfortably. But costa is still ok. Our strikers for next season seems like torres, costa and lukaku. It doesn’t look like a bad group. But Mou has to look into our youth team. We have some deecent talent-kalas, ake, baker. Up Blues. It is very good signing for blue. He is a fantastic young players that surely fit our style of play. It is good to add either Manzuki or Lavazi to be a perfect squad to win z titles of EPL or CL. Z other areas need correction is z attacking midfield, we need a strong creative like Hazard type of player to break z parking bus. EPL team allocate 2 or more players to stop Hazard’s influence this season & they r successfull. So we hv to have more Hazards in z squad to solve such problem. It is time to end z blue fearing & parking z bus. Mour has to build a perfect team.

Costa’s arrival would put our team among the front runners in Europe and in England, if we aren’t already. All we missed this season is a good finisher who is powerful and agile. He’s quick and this can be an incredible buy for us. Next season we surely can expect a double or more. Go Chelsea #KTBFFH
