Confirmed – £180,000-A-Week UCL Winner Returns Home

The Champions league draw is done, Chelsea will be playing Porto in a tie that promises to be both interesting and emotional for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. Porto who won the Champions league under Mourinho in 2004 gave Jose Mourinho’s first major managerial job. The Porto job can be said to be his managerial launchpad.

It will be a sort of home coming for the Portuguese. Mourinho left the club for Chelsea in 2004 and Porto has never managed to replicate the self styled special ones’ achievement ever since. Their best ever since Mourinho left is a quarter final position in the champions league.

Over the two legs, Chelsea will be out to get the maximum six points in a very tricky group and Mourinho will know emotions won’t get Chelsea through to the second round.

Although the group looks easy on paper, history shows there are no easy teams in the champions league any more. The 1-1 draw against NK Maribor just under one year ago comes to mind.
