Baba Rahman’s agent has confirmed his client wants to play for Chelsea this coming Campaign and he wants the transfer to be concluded as soon as possible. The 21-year old defender has been a target for the Stamford Bridge outfit for a while now and Chelsea’s boss Jose Mourinho sees him as a potential replacement for the departed Felipe Luis.
According to Ghana Soccernet, the Ghanaian left back agent told German media that Chelsea and Ausburg are still in talks over a possible move for his client to stamford bridge.
“The clubs are still negotiating, Baba wants to play for Chelsea. That is clear and understandable. The whole situation is a burden to him, there must be a rapid solution now, “said Baba’s agent.
Baba is expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge next week for a medical after a fee in the region of £17.5million have been agreed on.
Although Chelsea have also been linked to Galatasaray left back Alex Telles but it all looks like the 21-years old Ghanaian star will be the one to replace the departed Luis who re-sign for his former club Atletico Madrid after spending just a season with the Premier League champions.
Baba has also been a target for Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
