Much has been made about the Euro 2016 qualifier game Jose Mourinho watched between Spain and Ukraine. Although Spain defeated Ukraine by a Slim 1- 0 victory the aftermath of the match has been about the Mourinho attendance to the Match.
Wide speculations were rife that Jose was scouting players to re-establish his team. Until recently, Andriy Yarmolenko was much in the frame but rumours surrounding his purported transfer seem to simmer down after he signed a contract extension with Dynamo Kiev.
To fuel speculations further, Sharktar Donesk Boss Mircea Lucescu claims Jose Mourinho identified some possible target to him. The pair watched Ukraine against Spain in the European Qualifiers. He said :
Mourinho is interested in Yevhen Konoplyanka,” said Lucescu. “I was at Ukraine vs Spain with Mourinho and he is interested in some players.
“Perhaps it is Yarmolenko or Teixeira, if not, and then it is Konoplyanka.”
Yevhen Konoplyanka joined sevilla this summer after he rejected a move to Tottenham, Stock City and Liverpool from Dnipro. He scored on his debut for Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup against Barcelona.
However, Report still has it that Liverpool new boss Jurgen Klopp is interested in the services of the 26-year old star and could make a move to sign him in January
