Deal On: Chelsea Set To COMPLETE Transfer Of Ligue 1 SENSATIONAL Star
If report by the English media Daily Mail is anything to go by, then Chelsea may be set to add more attacking ace to their current squad before the close of the summer transfer window.
According to report from Daily Mail, Chelsea’s director Micheal Emenalo was in Spain on Wednesday to watch Anthony Martial in action in a game between Valencia and Monaco.
The young Frenchman has been linked with a move away from France this summer and the EPL champions Chelsea are said to have make a bid of £39million for the starlet signature.
The 19-year old forward moved to Monaco in 2013 from Lyon and had scored a total of 11 goals in 45 appearances for for the Ligue 1 side.
Realistically, I do not see this deal happening. Why will Chelsea be signing a 19-year old striker for £39million when they have only just sent a 21-year old Patrick Bamford on loan to Crystal Palace. Lets face it, the Championship in which Bamford played last season and scored 19 goals as well as winning the Championship player of the year, is not far behind the French Ligue 1.
However, Should the deal be completed, which I don’t really think, the 19-year old Frenchman would beat the World’s record for the highest amount of money paid for a teenager.
