Chelsea’s flop Juan Cuadrado is set to completes it loan move with the Italian gians Juventus after the the club has release a clip of him being mobbed by fans on arrival at Malpensa airport in Italy via their twitter account.
According to ESPN the 27-year old star is set to undergo his medicals today with the Seria A champions Juventus for a season-long loan move after a deal had been agreed between Chelsea and Juventus.
This confirmed ealier statement made by the Old Lady chief executive Giuseppe Marotta that they hope to sign the starlet before the close of the transfer window.
The winger expresses his joy with the reception he received on his arrival by saying;
“We all know that Juve is a great club, among the best teams in Europe. They have everything to win the Scudetto (Serie A),” Said Cuadrado via club’s official website.
“I hope I can give Juventus my best, 100 per cent. I didn’t expect to receive such a warm welcome from the fans in Italy but they have always welcomed me with open arms and that makes me very happy.
“The fans’ support will give me further motivation to do well.”
The World Cup star has failed to impress since his moved to Chelsea this year winter transfer window, making just four Premier League starts for the Blues.
However, the arrival of Spain international Pedro Rodriguez has further push the Colombian star down the pecking order, and he will now spend the remaining part of this season in Italy should the deal be finalized.
Cuadrado scored a total of 26 goals in 106 appearances during his days with Fiorentina but has failed to repeat that success with Chelsea.
