Done Deal: Chelsea Midfield Target Agrees Terms With Club – Announcement Tomorrow (Not Teixeira)
Chelsea hopes of signing PSG midfielder Marco Verrati has been quashed as it is reported that the Italian would be signing a contract extension tying him down at the Paris club up until 2020 according to Talksport.
Verrati widely regarded as the next “Pirlo” is known for his midfield dexterity and calmness on the ball. The player has been instrumental to the dominance of the Qatari backed club –PSG. The 23 year old has been highly rated by pundits and professionals’ alike.
Speaking to Corriere dello, Varratti agent Donato Di Campli, insisted his client is set to renew his current contract.
“It only lacks a few details, but here we are. We must still put everything in black and white, but we have found an agreement. He will stay a long time at Paris Saint-Germain, at least until 2020.
“This is already his fourth contract extension here, and he is now demonstrating that he deserves these revaluations.”
Chelsea must look out for another midfielder as their hopes of getting the Italian looks blurred. Pogba could be on the list but a high valuation of the player by Juventus could deter the club from signing the French man.
Cesc Fabregas has been quite under-performing this season and hasn’t brought the creative spark he did last season to the field.
Let’s watch and see if Verrati could change his mind as anything can happen in football
