Done Deal: Terms Agreed On, Chelsea To Break British RECORD Fee For Pogba, MEDICALS Imminent
The EPL holders are set to shock their teeming fans this summer transfer window with reports claiming that they have agreed a deal with Italian giants Juventus to sign their midfield maestro Paul Pogba for a record fee.
According to The Sun, Chelsea made an irresistible offer to the tune of £69million to the Old Lady which they couldn’t refuse. This deal would break the British transfer fee record of £59.7m paid for Angel Di Maria.
This comes after earlier reports that Chelsea’s owner Roman Abramovich had given the Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho a go-ahead to make three more signing before the summer transfer window closes.
However, its unclear how much of the £69million will be cash as Juventus are ready to take one of Oscar, Cuadrado or Willian as part of the deal.
Pogba played a huge role last season for Juventus helping them to win three domestic titles and also reaching the finals of the lucrative UEFA Champions League.
Although, Juventus had earlier said that the young star is not for sale and even went further to buttress their points by handling the 22-year old Frenchman the legendary number 10 jersey.
Pogba has been a major target for most top European team this summer with the like of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Manchester United locking horns over the starlet’s signature.
I think this will be a fantastic buy for Chelsea fc this time should the deal materialise. mourinho should tighten otherwise the club is doing poorly this time.
