Done & Dusted: Chelsea Complete Business For Highly Rated Midfielder – Announcement Made
Chelsea have sanctioned the loan move for highly rated midfielder John Swift to Brentford for the rest of the season according to Chelsea official website.
The 20 year old has represented the English U-16 and U-20s and joined Chelsea after a trial in 2007.
Having moved to the Brentford earlier last year, the deal was extended till the end of the season of 2015/2016.
Coach of Brentford Dean Smith, congratulated the lad and was happy about the prospect of working with the kid till the end of the 2015/16 season.
He was quoted “John has developed a lot as a player in his time with Brentford,” boss Dean Smith said.
“He is someone I knew about when he was playing in League One last year and he has improved since then.
“He also has lots of scope to develop further. It is great to have him as part of the squad for the rest of the season.”
The midfielder has already three goals to his credit this season and could become relevant in the Championship this season. Versatile Swift can also operate on the wings as he has been deployed much of the season at Brentford.
Lots of hard work and dedication would be needed from the player if he seeks to establish himself and win a place in Chelsea first team in the future.
