LATEST: Mourinho Confirms Pedro and Three Other Chelsea Players To Miss Arsenal Clash

Chelsea seems to have gotten back to winning ways after a powerful victory over Israeli side Maccabi Tel  Aviv. The Stamford Bridge outfit won the game by a 4-0 with Willian, Oscar, Diego Costa and Fabregas finding the back of the net.

However, the joy in Chelsea’s camp didn’t last long after the Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho broke the news to the media that summer signing Pedro Rodriguez and Brazilian international Willian will both miss this weekend London debut against the Gunners.

‘Tomorrow I will watch Arsenal, and I will try to understand how my players are – how Oscar is, Willian is out for sure, I think Pedro is out for sure – so let’s see. I prefer problems because players had good performances than problems because the performances were not good.’ said Mourinho during yesterday post match briefing.

This will definitely be a big blow to the Blues who are still struggling to find form in the Premier League. Willian and Pedro have undoubtedly been the best Chelsea players this season. Pedro has scored one goal and assisted one, while Willian on the other hand has also scored a goal and more importantly, he has been the most influential player in the Chelsea midfield this season.

While Fabregas and Hazard are still finding forms, Willian had done very well in the number 10 role in the absence of Oscar.

Mourinho earlier confirms that Shot stopper Thibaut Courtois is still out injured for the next three months while Colombian international Radamel Falcao is also a doubt for Arsenal match after being absent from yesterday’s match due to a minor injury.
