Massive Blow: Chelsea Goalkeeper To Undergo Knee Surgery Today (Not Courtois)
Latest report reaching us claims that Chelsea on-loan goalkeeper Matej Delac has suffered a knee injury. This is according to Daily Star which claims that the shot stopper is now bill to undergo knee surgery today.
The Croatian international was sent on a season-long loan this summer to Bosnian side FK Sarajevo to gain more first team football and experience.
Although he is yet to make any appearance for the Blues since his move from Inter Zapresic in 2010, he has however spent most of his playing time out on loan outside England.
Before the arrival of Marco Amelia to Chelsea this season, the Stamford Bridge outfit were considering bringing back the 23-year old goalie as a back-up to summer signing Asmir Begovic after Thibaut Courtois suffered injury.
The Croatia goalie confirmed the news when he tweeted:
“Unfortunately, the knee did not last, ACL broken, surgery tomorrow.
“Hope I will come out through this better and stronger than I used to be!” said Delac,
We hope Delac surgery goes successfully and he returns back to training in no time. Delac is still regarded in Chelsea and that has been the major reason why the club have refuse to sell him in the past transfer market.
