MASSIVE: Powerful 96 Goals Striker On His Way To Chelsea For Medical, Abramovich To Sanction Deal

Togo and former Tottenham goal poacher Emmanuel Adebayor has emerged as a surprised winter transfer target for the EPL defending champions Chelsea.

This is according to Daily Star which claims that the Blues are considering a move for the experienced striker in January as a back up to Diego Costa.

The 31 year old striker, who is currently without a club, was released from Tottenham Hotspurs last summer due to family problems.

Chelsea attacking trio of Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao had all struggled to make major impact for the Blues this season.

Costa who was a key player to Chelsea’s team that won double trophies last season had only register three EPL goals this season. His poor run of form has caused Mourinho to use Eden Hazard as the point match in Chelsea’s last two matches.

Adebayor has vast experience in English Premier League and also possesses similar traits with Chelsea’s legend Didier Drogba. The Togolese scored a total of 96 EPL goals from his playing days with Arsenal, Manchester City and Totteham.

The powerful striker who is currently training at home in Africa is set to return to England this week, to have talks with clubs interested in his services, which Chelsea is one of.
