Mourinho To Be Sacked? Club Release Official Statement
Chelsea’s boss, Jose Mourinho has received the backing of Chelsea’s board following the team’s dismal performances this season according to Daily Mail.
Roman Abramovich and the board was reported to have met following the Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Southampton and issued their support to the manager.
The vote of confidence was issued by Chelsea after Mourinho 7-minute post-match interview, asking for the full support of the club and his players. He said:
“I think this is a crucial moment in the history of this club. Do you know why? If the club sacks me they sack the best manager that this club have. ”I think this is a crucial moment in the history of this club.
“Go straight to the players, if they tell you they don’t trust me, it is the only thing that can make me resign.
“Ask the players. Don’t go with fake sources, the player’s told a friend and the friend’s told the agent and the agent is not happy because I don’t play his player”.
The club issued a statement concerning the Coach: “The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support”.
“As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team’s performances must improve. However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad to do it.”
This is Chelsea’s worst start to a league campaign for 37 years sitting 16th on the log with 8 points having lost 4 matches already this season in the league.
