No More Excuses: Mourinho Cleared to Sign Sensational Star Ahead OF Weekend Game
Looking at the current Chelsea’s squad, the fact that the Blues could do with another centre back and a striker is very obvious even to the blind. Although the Blues have Ramadel Falcao, Loic Remy and Diego Costa but all of them are injury prone which is a thing of worry for many Chelsea’s fans.
This is why many Chelsea’s fans will be happy when their manager Jose Mourinho was quoted to have said;
“Two players – one a left-back – but I wait and see,” Mourinho said.
“We have the money. Chelsea have done fantastic business selling players.”
“There is no doubt teams have spent to catch us.”
“That is what happens.”
“There is a possibility there will be new players because the market
is still open.”
“We are going to get a defender for sure.”
This is a great indication of the fact that a striker may still come in before the window closes. And judging by reports this weekend claiming Chelsea are now been forced to trigger the release clause of the young French international Antoine Griezmann, it will not be too surprising if the Blues ends up signing the versatile striker.
Earlier in June, it was reported that Chelsea sports director Michael Enemalo had flown to Spain to hold discussion with Atletico Madrid in regards to the potential signing of Griezmann.
And it was reported today by the Metro that Chelsea’s owner Roman Abramovich has given a go ahead to Mourinho to sign at least three more players before the end of the transfer window.
