Report: Chelsea lead the race for Fellaini
Marouane Fellaini might be come Chelsea’s latest addition into their ever-growing Belgium contingent. The Belgian looks set to leave the blue side of Merseyside at end of the season. According to the Daily Mail it’s the blues who are leading the chase to sign the 25 year-old.
Despite putting pen to paper on a long-term deal at Everton he has a £23,000,000 clause in his contract. Everton will have no option but to let him go if the valuation is met by a club that has qualified for Europe’s élite club competition.
Apparently our Russian owner has held a high interest in him for a while now. This would enable him to join international team-mate and PFA player if the year nominee Eden Hazard.
Alternatively it doesn’t look like Chelsea will have it all their own way. Fellaini has attracted attention all over the globe with the likes of Anzhi Makhachkala and Zenit St Petersburg battling for his signature.
So if Everton fail to finish fourth ( which looks extremely likely after losing to Sunderland) they will be powerless to resist Fellaini’s departure. I’m sure every Everton fan would be saddened to see the man who has represented their club 125 times leave the club.

Would you be happy to see Fellaini wear a Chelsea shirt? Let me know what you think. KTBFFH!
Again spending money when we already have such good young players
Mikel is not very good. Fellaini and Ramires in center midfield would be devastating.
His addition will be a wellcome development. He is strong in air.
Some cfc fans and abramovich think alike, we don’t appreciate our own..we got young players, gifted ones in that matter who could be drafted into the sinior squad. But guess what? All we do buy, buy, buy and allow these youngsters to fade away..when shall we start giving these players the chance to play in the sinior team?
Look, even in the Chelsea youth there is one ting missing, STEEL. There is no strength, Fellaini would add that.
We’re getting bullied in midfield. I guess you saw what Yaya Toure did to us at Wembley. Fellaini can effectively out an end to that.
feillani is a very great player .it will be fantastic if he comes to chelsea fc
He is a fantastic player hope we buy him before is too late.
what we need is a striker that can bully defenders not midfielders cos we hav lot of them, we hav Frank, Ramerres Mikel, Oscar who can play in that possition
he is a Gud player
Yea,cos we need physical players, cos we been bullied dis season so much by more physical teams lyk(Newcastle,Mancity, stoke etc).
Plz do an article on Chelsea lack of physicality.
I think Moussa Dembele wuld be better option……….see hw he bullied Yaya last weekend Tottham vs Man city.
We should’ve bought Dembele this season. Real were actually planning to buy him and the current Real only buy the best. Don’t know what the f*** the Chelsea board were doing. Fellaini is a must buy since we missed out on Dembele. Fellaini would add strength, power, steel and aerial prowess to our team of midgets and those above me who’ve said we don’t need that are just plain deluded. We had the likes of The Bison, the great Ballack and Makelele, King Drogba in our team and we must always continue that tradition of having powerful players in our team to complement our Mazacar.
