South American Hit Man To Complete Chelsea Transfer In January (Not Cavani)
Radamel Falcao could be reunited with his former boss Andre Villa Boas according to Daily Mail. The forward joined Chelsea on a season long loan after enduring a difficult season with Manchester United. The Colombian international couldn’t command a regular shirt at Manchester United and Louis Van Gaal replaced the striker with Anthony Martial.
Jose Mourinho moved for the centre forward with the hope of reviving the faltering striker’s form. Falcao has found chances hard to come by at Chelsea, with Diego Costa preferred in the striking role. The striker has just one goal to his name at Chelsea and was advised by Mourinho to put him more effort if he wants a place in the team.
Falcao could leave Chelsea in the January and it is believed that Villas Boas has offered him an opportunity with Zenith St. Petersburg to regain his form. The player began to make his name at Porto when Villas Boas was the coach before moving to Athletico Madrid.
Chelsea loan agreement with Monaco could be cancelled to permit the player to join Zenith in January as Chelsea seek to bring in another striker with Edison Cavani in the fray.
Villa Boas is said to be keen on bringing the once feared striker to Russia and could make his personal relationship with the 29 year old help restore back confidence.
