Terry, Willian & Oscar Starts: Chelsea vs Southampton Possible Line UP
Chelsea will today welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge for an epic EPL clash in other to continue their tile defense after starting on a disappointing note with just eight points out of a possible 21 points.
Chelsea had a disappointing outing in Europe this midweek when they lost to former Jose Mourinho’s side FC Porto far away in Portugal.
Mourinho’s men poor display had led to rumours linking the Portuguese tactician away from Stamford Bridge with claims that Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has given Mourinho today’s game to prove himself or else face his rot.
Key players like Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic came in as substitute during Porto’s game but would be expected in the starting line-up in today’s game while Brazil international Oscar who did make an appearance during the midweek would also be expected to make a return.
Chelsea defence has been lacking the coordination and leadership of skipper John Terry so far and most Chelsea fans around the globe have criticized the self-styled ‘special one’ for constantly sidelining the 34-year old defender while Serbian international Branislav Ivanovic keep starting almost every matches even with his woeful performances so far this season.
However, we expect Mourinho to take a bold step in making today’s selection if he is to remain Chelsea’s boss and possibly make his side a team to reckon with in this season campaign.
Here is how we expect Mourinho to line-up his side against the Saint.
