Welcome To Stamford Bridge: Chelsea Officially Completes Transfer Of Ligue 1 Super Star

The defense line of Chelsea have been boosted by the addition of Papy Djilobodji from Nantes as they have had to endure an abysmal start to their season.

This is according to Chelsea official website that the 26-year old defender has signed a four year contract with the EPL champions. The new signing also expressed his joy for the new challenge ahead of him by saying:

‘I’m very happy to sign for a big club like Chelsea and I want to do my best to help the team win titles. I want to thank the club for giving me this opportunity.’

Earlier in the summer, the Blues were involved in one of the longest transfer sagas and drama that involved their prime target, John Stones of Everton but the deal collapsed following the Merseyside hold of the player.

That led the Premier league defending champion to be linked with various European defenders as they looked to bolster their shabby, fragile and penetrable defense line.

Last season, the EPL champions conceded the list goals throughout the course of their campaign but have so far conceded nine goals in four games which questions their defensive prowess and prospect of the season.
