first of all javier zanetti is a defender n not a striker.a lovely player.in my opinion,shouldnt we be looking at giving the job of sporting director to an ex blue.a chelsea man thru n thru.
Zanatti is a reliable option for the team. It is clear we need to retain some experience in a youthful squad, but I would question the wisdom of replacing our current ‘Old Guard’ with one that has no experience of England, or Chelsea. If Terry and Lampard are to stay and Mou still feels experience is necessary then I will back him, but should he replace two club legends with Zanetti, despite his undoubted quality and reliability, I feel that is the wrong way to go about things. Just my thoughts.
