Almost Done: 6FT 2 Prolific Striker On His Way To Chelsea, Hiddink Confirms Deal (Not Teixeira)
According to reports making the round, Chelsea legend Didier Drogba could make a shock return to Stamford Bridge in January.
Although the powerful striker still has a contract with his Canadian club Montreal until December 2016, he is however tipped to serve as assistant manager to Hiddink.
Speaking to Fox Sport of the possibility of Drogba returning to Stamford Bridge as assistant Coach, the Dutch tactician Hiddink said:
“We would like to get him involved. But he still has a contract with Montreal in the MLS, even though it is the close season for them now.
“But we definitely intend to get him involved. We want to get important players involved with the club they care about. Drogba’s heart is with Chelsea.”
Should the Blues legend decides to make a return to Chelsea in January, he is surely going to serve as a good motivator to Chelsea team, given that he has won virtually all the major trophies with Chelsea including the prestigious UEFA Champions League.
Drogba was on great form for his club his MLS club last season, scoring a total of 12 goals in 12 appearances for his team.
