Done Deal: Two Times UCL Winner Signs For Club, To Be Unveiled In January
In what would seem as a shock move for fans of Chelsea football club, reports have emerged that the Blues former manager Jose Mourinho has agreed deal to sign for Chelsea’s arch rival Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
This is according to report from Spanish news outlet Fichajes via Daily star claiming that the Portuguese tactician has agreed a five year deal with the Red Devils to replace struggling Louis van Gaal.
The Spanish outlet further stated that the Mourinho could have put pen to paper already pending when Van Gaal is sacked before an announcement will be made.
“Several media and journalists close to Portuguese Jose Mourinho say the technician has agreed a deal with Manchester United for the next five years, the news is not yet official.”
Mourinho who was sacked by Chelsea after a poor run of form has been a long time target for Manchester United.
It was earlier reported that the Red Devil initially wanted him to replace former coach David Moyes but Mourinho opted to sign for his loved team Chelsea in 2013/2014season.
Van Gaal has been criticized of his managerial techniques recently, coupled with his failure to get United back to winning ways, after the huge spending spree in the summer.
Although Mourinho performance with Chelsea was disastrous this season, the Manchester club still regards him as one of the best coaches in the world.
