Almost Done: French Starlet To Arrive London To Sign For Chelsea

Chelsea are about to pull off another transfer, as reports have claimed Lyon starlet Rayan Cherki have arrived London to undergo a trial with the Premier League champions’ youth team.

Cherki, 12, is considered one of the most promising stars in France and he could now have a Chelsea future if he impresses the coaches of the west London club.

The Lyon young striker will now be handed a rare opportunity to showcase his talents in England. As per reports, Manchester United and Arsenal are also keen on the youngster.

Meanwhile, a report from butfootballclub.fr via Express has claimed Lyon were not aware that their starlet had gone for trial in England. Hence, it is not clear whether Chelsea are really in negotiations with the Ligue 1 side to sign one of their players.

The Blues are looking to offload some of their now surplus-to-requirements players including Juan Cuadrado and Victor Moses.

Reports from the Italian media especially has strongly suggested Cuadrado could be joining Serie A champions Juventus on loan with an option to buy. However, it is unclear if Chelsea will use that as a bait to sign Paul Pogba.

It has been widely reported that the Blues have reached a £69m agreement with the Bianconeri over the transfer of Pogba, and Jose Mourinho is also looking to complete the deal for John Stones before the transfer window slams shut in ten days.
