Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is thought to be pondering on making an Audacious bid for the reigning world best player Cristiano Ronaldo. The Real Madrid forward whose current contract expires in 2018 has continually increased speculation relating to his future.

According to Daily Mail, the Portuguese responded to  German magazine Kicker when quizzed about his in which he said: ‘Leave Madrid one day in the future? Why not? No one knows what will happen in the future”.

The Mega money deal for the 31 year old is thought to be in the region of £70 million and could be too tempting for Madrid to reject. Real Madrid has reiterated that they are not a selling club and desire to keep the goal scoring machine with them.

A deal could still be struck between the club if the club agrees to sell but Ronaldo has always public told everyone of his desire to join Chelsea rival Manchester Utd.

A move to Chelsea wouldn’t go down well with the Old Trafford faithful as Ronaldo is highly regarded amongst them.

The deal is likely to be funded with sale of underperforming Chelsea stars – likely to be sold include Eden Hazard, Nemanja Matic and Oscar.

Ronaldo moving to the Blues could mean a statement for the Abramovich concerning his commitment to the course of Chelsea.
