Chelsea reportedly won the race to sign Otamendi

Otamendi

According to a source from Express, Reports in Spain suggest that Otamendi will move to Stamford Bridge at the start of next season, despite interest from Barcelona and Milan. Both clubs has unsuccessful negotiations with the Portugese club over signing Otamendi over the summer, but it now seems that the defender is bound for the Blues.

Jose Mourinho is thought to be a huge admirer of the FC Porto winger who is 25. The Argentine center back has hugely impressed since moving from his home country over to the Portuguese league and sources are reporting that the clubs have forked out a deal to bring him to STAMFORD BRIDGE once his current term ends at Porto.

There was a huge interest from elsewhere particularly AC Milan and Barcelona but, the defender now is bound for the Blues as Jose wins the race to sign the center back from his former team. Otamendi is a capable player who has enjoyed a run of success during his spell with Porto. The Argentinian defender—who played under Andre Villas-Boas when he arrived at the Estadio do Dragao—has racked up three Primeira Liga titles, three Portuguese Super Cups, the domestic cup and an excellent Europa League triumph since 2010.

to all the guys wondering why we are looking for a centreback, we must realize that terry is getting older and will start losing his abilities soon. otamendi can be an interesting replacement. and to those saying kalas is there, he is more of an ivanovich type of player and maybe can be considered his apprentice
