Chelsea have completed the signing of young Swedish defender Ali Suljic, he’s starting in the summer.
“I’ve decided on Chelsea. Premier League clubs and some in Italy were interested. It’s wonderful, but at the same time, feels unreal. The goal is to continue to develop. I think I can reach the first team, but first, the U21 team of course.”.
The 15 year-old defensive prospect is set to sign for Chelsea ahead of rival interest from Manchester City and Arsenal.
“He goes over the next week and I understand he intends to sign with them. Then, the clubs just need to talk,” Motala’s chairman said earlier.
“Lots of Premier League clubs have also been in contact with us. But he has been really keen on Chelsea from the beginning and this has continued.”
Despite his age, Suljic has made his first team debut for Motala in Sweden’s Second Division.
