CONFIRMED: Chelsea Officially COMPLETES Transfer Of 5FT 7 Midfielder
Chelsea winger Marko Marin has joined Trabzonspor on a loan deal, ending his three year miserable relationship with the Premier League champions. The west London club announced that the 26-year old will spend the 2015/16 season on loan in Turkey and the agreement includes an option to buy.
The German footballer joined the Blues in a £6m deal from Werder Bremen in 2012 and was tipped to hit the ground running having been dubbed “the German Messi”, but it was not to be as constant injuries and stern competition for places on either flanks hindered Marin from fulfilling his potentials at Stamford Bridge, although he won the Europa League with Chelsea in 2013.
Marin will now have an opportunity to resurrect his career with the Turkish Super Lig club who are presently joint leaders in the league table.
The Black Sea have been very active in the summer, signing Stephane Mbia, defender Cavanda from Lazio, and Dame N’Doye from Hull City. Marin will now be joining the lost of players to have arrived the club his summer.
The 26-year old winger won the Europa League with Chelsea before being sent on loan to clubs like Anderlecht, Sevilla and Fiorentina. He also won a second Europa League trophy with the Spanish side.
Juan Cuadrado has also been farmed out on loan to Juventus and Victor Moses is also set for a spell at West Ham United, as Chelsea look to iron out things before the transfer window closes next Tuesday.
