Chelsea Transfer News Round Up: Pogba's Bid Prepared, Stones Hands In Transfer request.

These are really exciting times for Chelsea and their fans. From signing world class Pedro to clinching their first three points of the season, everything has appeared somewhat encouraging for the Blues. Now here is another boost for the fans regarding the transfer of two of their most mentioned targets before the transfer window shuts:

Chelsea are set to break the British transfer record by offering Juventus £72m for Paul Pogba later this week. The Bianconeri’s No.10 is one of the best central midfielders in Europe and has been earmarked by Jose Mourinho to be Nemanja Matic’s midfield partner. The 22-year old left Manchester United on a free and has established himself as pivotal player for Juventus, winning three consecutive Scudettos with the Turin club. Two of the club’s important player last season, Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo have left this summer and Chelsea are increasingly confident their £72m offer will make Juventus part ways with Pogba.

Stones on the other hand submitted a formal transfer request to Everton yesterday afternoon (via BBC) for him to make his move to Chelsea this summer. The 21-year old has grown so frustrated for the Toffees refusal to let him join the Blues, after the Merseyside club rejected three bids from the Premier League champions. Seeing that the window is only a week away from closing, he made a wise move and handed in the request before training yesterday and is now awaiting a response from Everton. It is believed a fourth bid of £40m will now be lodged by Chelsea in order to complete the transfer before next week.

Meanwhile, Nigeria and Chelsea winger Victor Moses is also on the verge of joining West Ham United before September 2. The Premier League champions are in advanced negotiations with West Ham United over the move, and it is understood it will be completed in days.

Manager of the Hammers Slaven Bilic is said to be looking to bolster his quad with the additions of a couple of players and the Chelsea winger has been earmarked. Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan under Roberto Di Matteo’s reign and the winger has spent most of his time away from Stamford Bridge – on loan at Liverpool and Stoke City.
Meanwhile, the loan move to Boleyn Ground will include an option for West Ham to make it permanent.

Finally, Colombian attacker Juan Cuadrado completed his loan move to Juventus yesterday and started training almost immediately. Cuadrado failed to find his feet in the English Premier League and Pedro’s arrival further means Jose Mourinho has grown out of patience with the 27-year old. He has now returned to Italy where he has excelled in the past, and it is understood the loan move includes an option for the Serie A club to buy Cuadrado if they are satisfied with his performances at the end of his year-long loan spell.
