Done Deal: Chelsea Completes SHOCK Transfer Of Italian Super Star
Report making the rounds claim that EPL defending champions Chelsea have completed the transfer of former AC Milan shot stopper Marco Amelia on a short period deal due to first choice goalie Thibaut Courtois knee injury according to La Gazzatta dello Sport.
This was made known by the 33-year old goalie agent Federico Pastorello via his instagram account after his client passed his trial with the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Although Chelsea are yet to make the official announcement of the new signing but Pastorello deem it fit to break the news when he posted a picture of him and Amelia on his official instagram account pst73 and tagged it ‘dinner with #marcoamelia to celebrate the contract with @chelseafc !!! Good luck!!’
Chelsea’s performance have been really woeful this season and the Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho is not ready to take any chances given that he has only young English man Jamal Blackman available as cover to Asmir Begovic.
Blackman is yet to make debut for the Blues senior team and as such he lacks both the experience and quality needed at the top level.
The 6ft 3 Italian Shot stopper was part of the Italian squad that won 2006 FIFA World Cup and also participated in Euro 2008.
Amelia will now provide back up for summer signing Asmir Begovic should he get suspended or injured.
