Brazil power house Felipe Melo has officially completed his medicals ahead of his summer move to formal Champions League winners Inter Milan.
The 32 years old midfielder has been a secret admirer of Jose Mourinho and have been looking forward to working with the Blues boss.
According to Italian publication Sport Mediaset, the defensive midfield star completed a medical at Inter Milan earlier this week and will cost the Serie A giants a reported £2.2million to acquire his services.
“I’ve completed my mission with Galatasaray,” Melo told Milliyet via Football Italia.
“I had a wonderful time with this club, and I’ll leave with great memories.”
The Galatasaray man had earlier in the year reveal his desire to join the Stamford Bridge outfit.
“I am a warrior, the English like that,” the formal juventus man said. “I love Chelsea because I’m a big fan of Jose Mourinho.”
Although Melo seems gone, I just hope Mourinho has something planned in the defensive midfield role as Chelsea simply cannot afford to go into the season with only Matic as the REAL defensive midfielder at the club.
