Done Deal: ‘I Am Off To Chelsea’ Highly Rated 19 Goals Striker To Complete Chelsea Move – Announcement Tomorrow
Report have emerged that England highly rated striker Patrick Bamford will be making a return to Stamford Bridge in January, after failing to impress in his loan spell with Crystal Palace.
The highly rated striker who was inspiring in his season loan spell with Middlebrough last season, has failed to register any goal for the Premiership side Crystal palace this season. Although he has only made nine appearances and starting two games for the Eagles.
Speaking after the Eagles goalless draw against Swansea, the England international insisted that the game was his final game for Crystal Palace and that he will make a return to his parent club Chelsea for further development in his career.
“That was my last game for Palace,” he told BBC Sport.
“If I were being honest, it has been terrible. No one wants to sit on the bench and not play.
“It was my decision. The gaffer hasn’t actually spoken to me.”
The England striker was on sparkling form for Championship side Middlesbrough last season, where he netted 19 goals in his season long loan with them. His outstanding display also won him the Championship player of the year award.
Should Bamford return to Chelsea in January, he might find playing time limited in Chelsea’s star studded team. However, the Blues might decide to loan him to another Championship team for the second half of the season, to rediscover himself.
