Good News: 69 Goals Hit Man To Sign For Chelsea In January? Hiddink Confirms Striker Reinforcement
With just Diego Costa available as Chelsea’s strike option, Chelsea hierarchy could be making a dig at the transfer market to help new boss Guus Hiddink with the striking problem.
Having played Manchester United without an out and out striker, with Falcao and Remy both injured, Chelsea need to act fast in order in their pursuit to climb the EPL table.
New boss Hiddink remarked recently on his strikers’ injury and even questioned Aston Villa boss public courting of Loic Remy but he still did not rule out bringing in addition firepower in the January transfer window.
Hiddink was quoted by Express, he quipped: “If it’s a long period of instability, then yes we might need more firepower.”
Regarding Radamel Falcao he said: ” he is back to square one again after aggravating the thigh injury”.
He added: “We had him in a game and he had this injury again.
“Our medical staff tried to build him up and he had a setback which is not a positive signal.”
PSG and Uruguayan International Edison Cavani has once again been linked to the Club and might be tempted to join the Blues having played second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimović since joining from Napoli.
Cavani has been played on the right flank this season and the player has aired his mind concerning his position at the club.
The addition of Cavani to the squad could be a major statement to other clubs, as Chelsea seek to resurrect their season. Cavani has scored a total of 69 goals since his move to PSG in 2014.
