DONE DEAL: Terms AGREED, Highly Rated CB To Complete Chelsea’s Transfer In January
EPL defending champions are on the lookout for world class stars in January, but will also be looking to lose a few players as well, to free up space and funds going into the transfer window.
Latest report according to Daily star claims that Chelsea summer signing Papy Djilobodji has agreed personal terms with Turkish outfit Besiktas for a move away from Stamford Bridge in January. This is according to Besiktas former sporting director Sinan Engin.
The Senegalese centre back moved to Chelsea on transfer deadline day, after Chelsea failed to secure the services of Everton’s defender John Stones, after making three different offers.
Djolobodji signing was a shock to both Chelsea’s boss Jose Mourinho and fans. Mourinho later admitted that the signing of Djolobodji was not his plans but rather someone he trusted very well.
The 26-year old star joined Chelsea for a reported £3m from League One side Nantes, but he is yet to make any appearances for the Blues in the Premiership.
He however make his debut for Chelsea as A substitute for Radamel Falcao in Chelsea 4-1 victory over Walsall in the Capital One Cup challenge.
