With just 11 points out of a possible 36 points and currently sitting on the 16 position on the EPL table, adding more fresh legs to Chelsea’s, current squad will be highly appreciated by fans, if the Blues are to find their way back to the top four position.

Chelsea’s owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly keen on making some marquee signing in January.

Latest report according to Daily Star claims that theRussian billionaire is ready to sanction £40m for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.

Chelsea were reportedly interested in signing the 24-year old France international during the summer but the deal failed to materialized.

The La Liga giants ruled out the move insisting the player was not for sale. Griezmann was instead given a new contract that saw his buy-out clause increasing to £55m.

Griezmann who is in his second season for Madrid moved from Real Sociedad to Atletico Madrid in 2014 summer and scored a total of 25 goals in 54 appearances in his debut season.

With various reports linking Belgium midfielder Eden Hazard away from Stamford Bridge coupled with his poor form for the Blues this season, a move for Griezmann would actually serve as competition for the Belgian star.
