Done & Dusted: Chelsea COMPLETES Transfer of BRUTAL Defender, Medical Done (Not Ake)

Jose Mourinho is planing a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in a formidable left back, who would serve as a back up to Spain international Cesar Azpilicueta.

According to reports from Metro, Augsburg left back Abdul Baba Rahman has complete his medical with the Stamford Bridge outfit.

It was earlier reported that the Ghanaian defender had agreed a personal term with the Blue for a reported £21.7million move to SW6.

It is also reported that the Blues will pay an initial fee of £14million before a further £3.5m in bonuses depending on Chelsea’s performances, £700,000 after Rahman completes 20 games and a further £3.5m after he has made 100 appearances.

Rahman has been a major target for the Blues since the departure of Brazilian star Felipe Luis to his former club Atletico Madrid.

Should the deal be completed this week, Rahman would act as competition to Azpilicueta or Mourinho could deploys Azpilicueta to his traditional right back while the Ghanaian star to the left back position.

This will definited improve the team especially with the recent drop of form of Branislav Ivanovic who struggled to keep out Swansea young star last week.
