Early Transfer: 55 Goals Winger To Make Stamford Bridge Switch In January
If statements credited to Napoli’s Boss Maurizio Sarri after his team defeated Juventus 2-1 in Serie A match is anything to go by, then Napoli’s attacking midfielder Lorenzo Insigne could be on his way to Stamford Bridge next winter transfer window.
The outstanding display of the Partenopei attacking midfielder/winger against Serie A Champions made Sarri to suggest that such display could be an indication that the player could be prized away from Napoli and such destination could be Paris Saint German or Chelsea.
The 24-year old Italy international player has scored a total of 55 goals in 204 appearances in his senior football career.
With Jose Mourinho preference for a 4-2-3-1 formation, Lorenzo Insigne is capable of operating on either side of the pitch preferably on the left wing, which makes cutting inside opponent’s post easier.
Insigne can also operate as a creative attacking midfielder just behind the central striker due to his vision, passing ability and dribbling skills as was seen with his combination with Gonzalo Higuain against Juventus.
A specialist with dead balls, Insigne would be a perfect fit for Jose Mourinho’s team that needs a revamp with their struggling form.
Joining Chelsea would be following his fellow Italian and Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola who represented Napoli as well as Chelsea in his football career.
Gianfranco Zola whose spell at Chelsea made him a cult hero could serve as a motivating factor for the “Italian Messi ‘’Lorenzo Insigne.
