The Sun on Wednesday have claimed that Chelsea have shortlisted Edinson Cavani, Diego Costa and Mario Mandzukic as striker options for next season and will go all in. Report says that Chelsea are tracking the three strikers at the same time and Jose might be willing to break the bank to attract them to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea did not sign a striker in January because the option was not available but will go all in, in the summer for what is seen as the final piece in the Jigsaw.
Jose is reportedly willing to spend in excess of £40m in the summer to land a world class striker.
Diego Costa is scoring for fun in Spain for table topping Atletico Madrid scoring 20 goals in 21 league starts. He is attracting interest from major clubs throughout Europe with Chelsea leading the charge to land him.
Edinson Cavani, who moved to PSG last summer has played second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovich and respite a good scoring run has been continuously deployed on the wing. He is growing discontent and reports are that Cavani will favor a move away from PSG with Chelsea his prime target.
Mario Mandzukic may not be a sure starter next season after Bayern announced the capture of Robert Lewandowski from Dortmund. Another one of the top strikers who might be available in the summer.
Who would you go for from the three, if all three do become available? For me it’s a no brainer. Edinson Cavani.

For me,I will pay £95million to land both.Cavani isn’t as prolific as Costa yet cost a fortune at over £55million.Costa would cost about £35 for costa and £55million for Cavani.

Firstly, In my opinion Cavani is so over-rated in general. Not only age is not on his side, his goal scoring records over the years is far to bulked up by penalties. He’s also far to over priced and asks far to much on wages. Just not the player I would like to see in a chelsea shirt (sure he’s better than what we have but better then what there is doubt it).
Costa on the other hand suits our style down to the ground how we play. He’s strong/ good in air/ reasonably two footed etc.
And age-wise is the best out of the lot. I also when watching matches like his attitude to stand up and be counted and want to stay on his feet. His has a buyout clause so therefore meaning no long drawn out sagas or inflated price negotiations. We pay the £32m clause and he is a chelsea man.
Mandzukic would be a good buy for the right price and good option to have.
I would also like to see us go for Bony as well due to his ability to turn and shoot accurately from reasonable distance. In the perfect world I would like to have this front personnel next season Costa-Bony-Lukaku-Torres.
However, the majority of clubs and seasons Mourinho as a general rule will only have 3 strikers so therefore like we have recently experienced football is harsh sometimes and you have to be harsh to progress. So therefore (sentimental feelings aside) Wouldn’t mind seeing Torres go in the other direction for Costa. So therefore next seaon Costa-Bony-Lukaku.
In reality it will probs be Costa-Lukaku-Torres.

Cavani and mandzukic wld be terrible buys. Chelsea pattern of play won’t fit with a target man. Costa might do well but it will be best to go for a playmaker striker. Since aguero annd suarez is out of it, balotelli wld be the better option. Also, a team like chelsea needs 2 experienced striker, not 3. We can have 2 good striker and one academy striker but certainly not 3 world class striker. Dere wld be problems in d squad. Mancity can do it becausse they play with 2 strikers so does man U. But chelsea right from time plays with a sole striker so having 3 class strikers wld be bad. For nxt season, our strikeforce shd be lukaku, costa/balotelli and islam feruz/bamford. Dis wld be d best solution
Cavani is the most suited buy. He is excellent with linkup play.
Bringing a new striker to the club is a necessity, because the big question is what and how it will continue to be the attackers, who now play for the first team. As for Mario Mandžukić and Edilson Cavanni personally doubt very much that their current clubs allow me to buy them and bring to the club, and both would be a fantastic solution to all of them, so the only real option left Diego Costa.

I could never take to Cavani. I liked how he played at Napoli, but something for me was still missing. Costa would be awesome. Then again, so too Mandzukic. He just knows his way around the 6 yard box especially. Costa too!!! I’m leaning towards Costa more!!!

Lukaku currently not fit to blue and can’t compete and got first team starting. It is good for him to benefit from loan. If he is in Blue squad this yr, Lukaku might got a chance to start less than Mata b/c he competes with more players to start than Mata. CFC has to buy either Costa or Cavani if available both can fit to our style of play. Mandzukic also available in cheap and it is good to buy him. Either Torres or Eto should stay and compete and change like Ibrahimovich’s change after Cavani arrival. So we hv 3 feared killer strikers in EPL and we wl compete for 3 or 4 trophies. Every players become happy as they got enough playing time b/c z game is killed early by these killers. And Jose can play them with rotation unlike this yr game winning known after 90minutes. Balloteli can’t fit here interms of every thing.

Costa £32M + Mandzu £20M < Cavani £55m. So we wl hv 2 best experienced strikers to buy with £50m rather than buying costy Cavani.
Of the above three I think Cavani is a good choice. Strong and fast. Hoepfully 45mill should be enough to buy him. Otherwise I still think Rooney is our best option.

He’s not the Chelsea type of player for me. Many would disagree with me on this but I think our prime targets should be Falcao, Cavani and Costa. If we sign one of these strikers its good. But if we want another of those three then we should offload Torres and buy him.
